Posts: 965 | I feel compelled to point out that Khan quotes that Klingon proverb the FIRST time Reliant attacks Enterprise, well before they reach the Mutara Nebula.
But other than that, who am I to fault this PotD? It looks perfect. 10/10 from the Kid.  |

Posts: 18 | WOW, this pic is freakin' awesome 10/10, even though Khan did not say that quote at that point of time I don't think there is any possible one that fits better, if you complain about that, you could also argue that there are no damage textures on the Enterprise (what would be accurate but this beauty has not deserved to be displayed almost shot into pieces), AND @#3 that was the Enterprise NCC-1701 not the A, but ok they are both of the Constitution-Refit and it's a mistake that could be made easily ^^, now not to distort the impression and purpose of this comment: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT PICTURE XD!!! |

Because he was considered a warrior poet by the Klingons, some (like Chang) adopted his writings. It's possible the phrase was also coined by the Klingons, but the translation from Chang was a direct use of Shakespearian literature. |

Posts: 126 | I just realized I misconstrued something... "Revenge is a dish best served cold" is from an 18th century French novel "Dangerous Liaisons" (which I think was influenced by "Hamlet" .
It's first use in the English language is believed to have been in TWoK, but I thought it was from Shakespeare because of Chang's fascination with his work. Oh, woe is me... The rest is silence. |
