Agreed DOCa. This IS interesting news and should also give the remaining armada modders something new and exciting to play with.

There was a website a few years ago called STGU.online or something like that where I got alot of my earlier aramda2 mods and SFC3 mods. What ever happened to that I don't know??? Anyone know what the site was or what it's actual URL was cos I can't remember it frown

I think the Wiki is a great idea, and I encourage everybody to help in fleshing it out. If run correctly then it can become a fantastic resource for everybody.

Yeh that ChessMess. He said the world is round... so full of it. The Modders Guild was launched in January and only recently got interest from modders in the community. Does STGU have a problem with any other modding group??? No.

ChessMess is no longer part of STGU because of all of this so if you want to criticise or attack STGU then criticise/attack me.

ChessMess does something for the community and this is what he gets? No wonder so many people leave.

Anyway, I look forward to see what modders can do. I don't think it will be easy creating new missions. I hope in future games it will be.

Please remember that the rules clearly state "No Attacks / Retaliation of any kind against a member, or group of members."

I would also like to take this oppurtunity to copy across the comment made on the other newst item, which was: -

"The armada2files staff are aware of their being various comments traded over the two (modding) resources and we would like to stress that we are neutral in this matter and intend to remain so. We encourage debate about these sites but arguments brought over from them won't be tolerated. This sites rules are, as always in full force."

i grow tire of the war between STG and STGU cant we all work togather?

#11 - Posted by: HailTrickster (Member) on 06-20-2006 at 10:48
Here is some advice... when you are attacked don't defend yourself because then you will be judged the same as the person attacking you. All I want to do is what I have being doing since I joined this community... play Star Trek games and contribute something to the community. This becomes hard when the site and people you work with is attacked all the time.

Back on topic. I don't know if the files are still going to be released?

#12 - Posted by: Freyr (Armada 2 Files Staff) on 06-20-2006 at 13:47
Personally I totally agree with Cecil on this. It would be nice to see all the sites working together for the good of the community.

Unfortunately Freyr, its been well known that ever since online gaming was first introduced that people who run these sites are always in conflict and competition with each other. I mean how many modellers and modders alike have been at odds with clans and online players?? To many to name for sure. The sad truth is that very few people can get along, or so it would seem, and even when someone starts something they believe to be unique, if you go far enough back you'll find it was done by someone else........

As for the matter at hand, I've seen plenty of back-and-forth "shouting matches", and I'm seriously hoping that the release of this (if it still goes ahead), will, at least, attempt to put a small bit of life back into the Armada community (however, poor a state it currently is in). Speaking of which I really, must sort out the rest of the items I'm hoping to release sooner rather than later).

Party on people.
