Legacy & Tactical Assault Screenshots - Site News

Well Folks! I've just been checking out the latest PoTD's from the FN SFCIII Website - I haven't been there in a while, and like to see what trek Pics they can produce, along with BC. Anyhow, I came across a couple of nice pictures for you, and of the new Star Trek Game (one of them anyway).

There are others over at the SFC Site I believe the others to be Tactical Assault for the Consol rather than PC. Anyhow, take a look. - Some of the news has already been posted here on A2files, though screenshots weren't (at the time) about.

The A2files News - Although Legacy looks nice, it's more (from my personal feeling) a SFCIV than a new game. Anyhow...

I'm pretty sure that Tactical assault was the SFC style game not Legacy

I just realised that one myself. The first two and last picture up there is from "Tactical Assault" and will be appearing on the PSP and DS, from latest reports. The other pics are obviously from Legacy and will be featuring on the PC and X'360.

From the sounds of it, LEG will be Dominon Wars but far superior with elements from the other 3 main games - A2, BC and SFC3. The elements from each I don't beleive they've specifically said yet, but from some educated guesses, the map objects look like they've come from A2 (especially the nebulae). The ability to attack specific co-ordinates sounds like it's from BC and the team-style and capital lead with lower escorts sounds reminiscent of SFC3.

Still, I shall be looking forward to all of this and armada2files will make sure you keep up-to-date about it.

Pretty good overall, but the graphics on that Miranda are horrible!

Those screencaps from Legacy look like vastly-improved Armada. But it's hard to tell because I'm more interested in the ships looking good when they're battle-damaged, and the phaser impacts are on the far side of the Ambassador-class starship. But wow. They look even better than on TV. Two Thumbs Up!

All of those are early shots, Legacy will be out in Sept.

Tactical Assault reslease date has yet TBA, so textures are still being worked on.

It looks horrible because it is on the DS and PSP. The screens are not exactly huge, you know? Compared with some stuff, and considering what they are working with, that looks pretty promising. Legacy, of course, should own IF they do what they say in Spirit rather than Letter.
