  Scripting tools for Legacy released - Official

Great news! The scripting tools for Legacy have been released! This means custom missions can now be created. Included are the scripts for all the single player missions. Since I programmed a third of the missions for the game I'm happy to answer questions.

Right. Now, as legacy was built on A2's engine this may allow us to create missions for A2. Time to find out... *downloads*

Also there is some annoying thing that has happe ned with the editor so you need to follow these words... I didnt make them i got it from the legacy site from Max loef.

Install it to

Cstick out tonguerogram filesmicrosoft visual studio 8

and then you can USE the tools!!!!!

it won't work out of the box. a lot of class definitions in those header files would need a rewrite for armada 2 to work. still, interesting to take a look in the missions source code they provided. i am sure many similarities can be found in armads mission dll files. this is plain useless to create armada 2 mission dll files, but the package itself gives a good template to create an inofficial armada 2 mission sdk.

I have tried every way I can think of, and can't get this to work for A1 or A2 (I even had a friend look at it, and he does programming for a living, and I was informed that without major work to the compatability, we havent got a hope) ..... dam ...

And im guessing it would be illiegal for someone to change/recreate this with modifications to work with A2 and then release it?

perhaps we could ask bethsoft, or whoever created this, to make a version for A2? but then theydont have the rights to A2 do they?
