USS Lightbringer (1.0) - Readme
Readme File:
USS Lightbringer:

Ok this is my first ship. Ive called it the USS Lightbringer.
It is a powerfull battle ship created using technology brought
back by the USS Voyager. It is equiped with:

- Two powerfull phaser banks
- two rapid firering quantum torpedos launcher
- One transphasic torpedo launcher
- Corbomite reflecter
- Slipstream drive

Instalation:

Simply copy the Star Trek Armada II folder and paste it into
the activison directory. This is usually found: C:\Program Files

Now your ready to roll!!! The Lightbringer is built by your
construction ship but is only available after you have built
a Temporal Research station. The ship is very powerfull and
has a short build time but costs 400 officers, so only use
if your not bothered about not having many other things with it.

Thanks for downloading and I hope you enjoy my ship.

Where, oh where did the 1440 polys go?? I would suggest the creator goes back to tthe drawing board and check the way they've used the model shapes. The cylinders in the nacelles have way to many layers, whilst the saucer is far to low poly. Also thats one strange texture map. Still. Its different and someone will play it no doubt.

1440 poly's?It look's more like 440 poly's. The design itself is nice, but, I wouldn't use it at that high, the texture seem's to fit it I think.

Well looks can be deciving. I would say that this is a modeller who's just starting out (mainly shows in the nacelles). The design isn't bad at all. The model just need refining.

great encouragement pain. im glad to see you bullying new modders out of modding the game. great going.

as for the model, not bad for starters. i was kitbashing at first, this is a nice jumpstart. seems youve skipped a whole step in the ladder of learning how to model.

Wraith of Khan. I dont' bully people. I give plain facts and perhaps if you actually took a moment to read whats in front of your eyes instead of moaning like a little kid, you might see that the underlying statement is also giving a suggestion. Considering I've done 3d modelling for oh, lets see, aprox 4 years I think i do know what I'm talking about.

But then I've noticed one thing about people such as yourself. Its far easier for you to whinge about a comment I make than actually try your hand at these things yourself and then see why I make the statements I do. Still life goes on and your comment gives me pause to laugh more than anything. stick out tongue

1440 polys is way to high though the design isn't bad. (far better than all my attempts) If the poly count could be reduced or the model made neater it would be far better

True SeVeReD. As I said the design is a good one. Its just the mesh could be redone. As for 1440 being to high. Well its not THAT high. Its just the polys haven't been used sparingly int he right places on the model, thats all.
