	Readme File: =============Niagara class for Armada 2 version 2.0=================== Thankyou for downloading this mod, this is a texture and odf modification of my Niagara class i released last march it has a ghost compilation mod odf, this is becuase this is the mod i run on my computer. if you have ghost's compilation mod then you can re name the ODF to fniag and follow the normal instructions. To install, put the file fniag.sod into the SOD folder put the texture files into the Textures > RGB folder put the file fniag.odf into the ODF > ships folder open the file fyard2.odf or fyard.odf (whitchever shipyard you want the ship to be built from) and put in the line: buildItemXX = "fniag" XX being the next unused number save that file open tech 1 from the folder called Techtree and add this line: fniag.odf 1 fyard2.odf // Niagara class OR if you want it to be made from the normal yard fniag.odf 2 fyard.odf fresear.odf // Niagara class then save and open Gui global.spr from the folder named Sprites scroll down untill you reach the end of the federaton buttons the add this line b_fniag gbfniag 0 0 64 64 there is a wire frame just put this line into the gui global under wireframes @reference=128 @tmaterial=interface fniagw1 fwniag 40 0 40 40 fniagw2 fwniag 0 40 40 40 fniagw3 fwniag 40 40 40 40 fniagw4 fwniag 80 0 40 40 fniagw5 fwniag 0 0 40 40 Credits: SOD: jardragon901 textures: Hardyous button and Wireframe: Ch'Yu Chen ODF: Hardyous(of vuclan) thats me! Well, I've never been a fan of the Niagara-cl*****.

Starting from 10:
-4 for rough saucer edges
-4 for little or no hull textures
+1 for correct registry number (a rarity amongst most mods I've seen)
+3 for nice job on the nacells
So, 6/10.

Maybe, if a variant was released that eliminated the the bottom nacell, and if the textures were touched up a little, then this could be an excellent mod.

A very good release, but I would hesitate to download it simply because of the low poly saucer. As for the registry. If the ship was a hero and therefore not m***** producable then the registry is no worries but with it being m***** producable it seems silly to have every one of the ships built having the same registry.

I see from the pic that this model has more hp's. The original one fired all weapons from the port side... Even torpedo's. I think this really is an improvement. only the saucer could use a little work. 9/10

yeah, sorry about all the problems with it. as i dont have a working modling programmei can't do much about the hull, and i've tried t move hard points to the phaser strips using *****imveiw but all i can say is that im still a newbie when it comes to modeling, texturing i can do to a degree (although al the textures were done in this modle using cut and paste in paint). i can do something about the registry, to be honest i'd never even noticed until it was mentioned here, but thatnks for the positive (and not so positive) comments, it will help me if and when i do a version 3.0 stick out tongue

The 3.0 should have a round saucer and possibly improved hp's and I'll certainly download it, everything about that model and textures I think are good, jsut nto the saucer.

You probably should make version 3 by kitbashing an actual Amb*****ador cl***** model..as that's what the Niagra Cl***** is based off of...

the niagara is a ship with galaxy cl***** nacelles and it's own components, it only shares the secondary hull with the ammb*****ador cl*****. the freedom cl***** uses the same saucer and nacelle as the niagara only without the secondary hull
