Okay, so it's not 'quite' how it went, but it's also accurate and entirely true to this mod. Think of everything fantastic that was in Babylon 5 and this mod becomes literally a direct portrayal of the series in stunning form. There truly is nothing left of Star Trek here, from the opening video displaying some nice battles, mostly involving the Shadows gliding through the night and destroying anything they come across, to the completely changed main menu, with a certain B5 feel to it. This is all of course before you get into the game where, words cannot say enough, the mod comes into its own and makes it one of the best mods available to the game.

Where to start? Well, each of the many B5 races (from the Humans to the Vorlons) have respective race fighters and whilst obviously not powerful separately, you can build them up to become very powerful forces, though that isn't to say that that the higher end battleships (or lower classes if you're playing as the mighty Vorlons or Shadows) can take on a good wing of them, although sustaining damage in the mean-time. What you also have to love is the attention to pure detail. Obviously there are plenty of ships to bolster your races fight for victory (or in most cases survival) from the canon ones as seen on the show to totally made up designs which fit in seamlessly and you wish were used on the show. Even to this date, so long after the mods release, the designs and textures hold up, but that's another point.

Visually, this mod is stunning. With rotating station sections, accurate weapons and lots of them to go with some eye-boggling colour exchanges in fleet versus fleet action, the mod will whip you away into a world of its own, bolstering everything included in it. Even the huge Babylon 5 (part of the Alliance of races) still looks amazing, regardless of newer models, including those on the visually better games such as Bridge Commander. This is a hard to believe fact, considering the game is a strategy and technically shouldn't be enforcing these high quality graphics and yet, somehow, it does, with absolutely no problem to quality of gaming.

Expect in this mod also everything you find in the 'real' Babylon 5. Huge jump-gates that allow the mass movement of ships to enemy quarters (think of the Borg's transwarp portal from stock, but much better graphics, also the seen blue and orange hue that is seen on the show). Specials that fit in too, such as the anti-Shadow ships (did someone just scream 'Whitestar' because good people, it's in here!) and telepaths to up the game (literally). Whilst the mod has no single player, understandably so with all the hard work it must've taken, the instant action is the pinnacle of the fun that you can have with this mod. Although 1 vs. 1 does make for some fun skirmishes, there is no way you can beat an all out multi-player slug-fest with either lots of Ai, who fight supremely hard for the map, sometimes more than you or other humans (best arrange that one) who have a vice-like command of their armada, from resource collecting (see the shuttles fly back and forth between sources for resources and their mother-ship freighters) to shipyard selection to the inevitable management of the clash between the fleets.

The year might only be 2007, but Babylon 5 isn't the last best hope for peace...you are!

Captain, where have you been? You were ordered to report here at 8am sharp! We’re at war, if you haven’t noticed, this isn’t your mamma’s house! Let’s hope the President was right about you: he’s personally asked for you to lead our task force to Sector 452, the Orion Colonies. We’re getting reports of alien activity in the region, and it’s gotten the folks out there a little spooked. We don’t know who or what they are just yet, but your orders are to head out there and find these intruders, and deal with them accordingly. If possible, that means blowing them the hell out of our sky, the Earth Alliance cannot be seen to be weak to anyone. It’s bad enough that they’re contaminating our planet with their ideas and culture; we don’t need them causing problems at our outer colonies too. Is that understood, Captain?


GETTING STARTED

Now, first thing first, you are familiar with the standard EarthForce Armada 2 v1.1 Fleet C&C module, I assume? For this mission, you’ll need to upgrade your command systems to the B5A2 Modification to be compatible with the other ships we’re sending with you. Have your technicians install the appropriate files into the root directory of the existing module; they’ll find it all fairly self-explanatory. You’ll find the improvements we’ve made to the system to be most impressive, I’m sure.

When the system loads, you’ll need to enter the Instant Action area. We currently can’t assign you to a Campaign in the area, as we don’t yet know what you’ll be facing. Settings should be more or less familiar for an experienced commander such as yourself.


ESTABLISHING A BEACH-HEAD

Now, Captain, your first order of business will be establishing a base of operations. This should have all been taken care of in your training; however, you may want to brush up by rereading Admiral Matt’s Guide to the Earth Alliance. Remember, establishing economically will be to your advantage! The military has recently seen a number of budget cuts, and you will be expected to at least partially pay your own way in terms of resources you’ll be using. Metal and quantium 40 will need to be mined from nearby planets and asteroids, and credits from trade will help you to fund EarthForce R&D. Trust me, Captain, you’ll need all the help from R&D you can get. If you prove yourself to be loyal to President Clark and to Earth, you may even earn yourself access to some of the new experimental technologies we’ve been developing.

You’ll find the basics of command and control to be very similar to the old Armada 2 Fleet C&C Module. Rely on your training, and on the skills of the fellow EarthForce officers serving under you to ensure victory for Earth! I’ll leave you to experiment with the new system, and to gain familiarity with some of the newer ship classes to join the EarthForce fleet. Remember your orders, Captain, the President is expecting much from you.

Throughout testing, the command interface has performed flawlessly, and we have gone to great measures to assure this. If you experience any technical difficulties, we would ask that you recreate the command systems again as there was likely an error upon the creation and modifications. If however you find something specific, an specific action, or event, that causes instabilities, we would ask you to inform us at the B5A2 Central (StellerCom address listed below), and we will have our tech's look over the problem immediately.

i extracted the files on my win90se and copyed tham to my xp pro and triyed it and i got to the mane screen with a big picher of b5 than i clicked singal player and the fuerst fed mishon and than clicked ok it started to lode than it crashes after the loded bar finshed i cot a black screen in i windows window.

i find that are are probloms win used on on xp win i tried it on 98 it wored. thare is some mising stuff like icons and imeges win ships are being bilt. and the game has crashed on me win i fineshed a game with earth v/s ragers and win i clicked sinal player it crashed on the fuerst fed mishon uther that that is is a lot of fun best mod so for

An excellent mod, perhaps the best non-ST mod for A2 that I've ever seen. The patch released shortly after the mod itself was made live fixes a few techtree errors and most notably the Vorlon AI lists (common cause of crashes).

Some of the models have high poly counts (the Vree middle-weight saucer has a lot and may slow down your PC if large numbers are produced) and some wireframes are missing but these are problems that can be worked around.

The best part of the game is the Order-Chaos system, allowing you to create special units in one tech system over another (for example, the League can choose to follow the Minbari-Ranger techsystem, allowing them to build White Stars, or the Thirdspace system, allowing you to gate in Thirdspace ships).

Arg am stuck. Love the mod but I am unable to build anything! There is nothing under any of the build buttons, on any of the speices. The comp players can build, but I can build anything. This sucks.

How do I fix it? I have very little modding experiance but I can follow instructions...

i am gona triy i am doped up on cold medicshon so we will see haw this gos.

(.1) one of the pigest probloms is win i win a game it can crash the last time it crashed i was playing with all the players exsept the one that starts with the v. sary i cant be more help but i have not figer out the ones that crash.

(.2) i let a frind play my game on easy well he got over run in 10min time it did not seem esy to me. the hard seting seems not to be much difrent than esy.

(.3) win i win a game at the end win you get a taly of the game you played the ship pichers at lest most dont sho up.

(.4) it is in posabul to win a game playing 1v1 ether aginsted the shatows or the speshes thats starts with the" v".

(.5) games sawnds are mising and sawnd efecs.

(.6) ship imeges are mising for some ships like the drednot clases and uther ships that are in the game the ones that are bilt in advasted ship yards all most never showe up.

i for got to list .is the butins in on some ships and stashon can be confusing the picher on the butins duss not all whay reflect what thay are supost to do and will the alt text is red from the butinds it duss not all whays diseribe what thay do

In case any of you guys around here wanted to know. There was a problem with the installer in Win98 and the installer was changed, I am not sure if the new installer or the old one is the one in this file. Also, the music is in a separate download and there is the 1.1 patch that was released fixing some bugs.

Currently they are working on 2 patches that will include additional ships, fixes and add the sounds for each individual ship captain. So expect 1.2 and 1.3 to fix some of these errors or missing sounds. As well as new additions.

You can find the music addon and 1.1 in armadafleetcommand.com or can wait until they bring them here.

Ok, now i have been working hard, i managed to trace up a readme, and alot of screenshots, and the 1.01 pach AND the music add on, all of wich will be on the site within the next 30-50 minuets. Hopefully this kind of delay will NEVER happen again.

I will edit the discription to incude the info about the music add on later. Two Thumbs Up!

I downloaded the mod and installed it fine but when I click on the icon to play the game, I get Graphic initionalization failed. Not compatible Direct3d8 hardware accelerator detected. I've been searching on the e-net for hours and can't find the proper 3d8. If you could tell me which one I need I would be verry greatfull.

lol i havnt stopped playing this mod since i got it. It rocks. So... utterly.

Everything is extremely deatailed and perfectly taken from the TV series; You've got the ship models and the weapons perfectly.

The gameplay is awesome. Its exactly from the show...


Just a few problems:
1. It crashes relativly frequently
2. Some of the sound effects are great, some are just normal phaser sounds (not so cool when a shadow ship decloaks either)
3. Its unbalanced. The minbari seriously thrash the humans, and although this is in keeping with the series, makes the game a little unfair.
4. Sometimes ships completly disregard there formation and alert status. i don't know why.
5. The carriers dont actually carry. That would be cool because fighters cant hyperspace....
6. Come to think of it the shadows are humerously unbalanced as well. However this rocks.



Love the mod. I'll even go as far to say that i'm enjoying it more than the original smile

(NB: nice little dune plug with the "shai halud" cl*****)

Two Thumbs Up!
This mod is great! I haven't played Armada for a year, but this makes it one of my favorite games. The music is great, models are good. Only thing that needs tweaking is the AI. You have done an awsome job with this mod, and I hope to see other things from you. Maybe a campaign of sorts. Rock By the way, I run on XP and the game installed and plays fine. Not a single crash.

Ok, I think the installer didn't create some of the files properly, only certain tech files have the new stuff in (which is why I couldn't build anything in standard tech mode).

Also, none of the icons show.

it is not really freezeing it is uncompressing files I not sure why on some XP boxes it takes forever but if you wait like 5 min it will get p*****ed that part and to the main installer

it won't let me upgrade certain techs when I click the icon it just re-appears as if I did nothing and as such I cannot build the full gambit of ships.

That would be the Order/Chaos system. You have to choose order or chaos as the beginning of each game (which tech you choose to first research) which will limit you to that side of the race's tech tree. To see the other side, you just have to play that race and choose the other tech the next time.

Hi, first of all this is a great mod that must have taken one hell of an effort making it so thumbs up to ya!

Unfortunatly i have some negative comments aswell. These being, there are way to many ships on B5 and when an *****ault is launched the oppositions fleet is way to big, compared to armada this mod is mad, if you could possibile create one with less ships and smaller enemy fleets that would be great, i mean normal shipyard 4 A2 consists of bout 8 ships & Ad shipyard consists of 4, you have like 10 in each plus other stations that can make them. its mad

Also shipyards. there are to many, the comupter AI builds like 6+ no wonder they got so many ships! Im a huge fan of babylon 5 and armada 2, no offence but i personaliy think that you could of taken more things into account when making this, i know i cant say much as i hardly know anything about modding, i know a few things in odf files etc but compared to what you guys are doing odf is just basic stuff! anyway, if ya have got a comment e-mail: ashs87uk@yahoo.co.uk cheers!

this mod is great but I found that the ships move bore fast compared to that of the programe. I also found that when I click on some of the special command buttons the game crashes. some of the pictures still don't show up even when i Downloaded the patches 1.0.1 and 1.0.2. I am a great fan of Bab 5 and this mod is definitly 99% correct.

the only thing that could make this mod more perfect than it already is would be hero units and campaigns. The narn versus centauri is a must.

Oh and about a question earlier. i think the Resistance is Futile! would win. But lets not go there, its as useless an argument as the damned ST vs. SW one.

Well, maybe not AS pointless as the ST vs SW one but still wink

I was playing an instant action as the Narn against an EA opponent. the game crashes when he attacks with a certain type of ship. I dont see it long enough to identify but it's one of the larger ones, long and slender. I'll go through the pics and see if i can identify which one it is. This has happened 2 times. I have played aginst several other races as Narn and they all work. I also have played AS several of the other races including EA and havent ran into a problem. but as EA i dont think i produced that perticular ship. I'll try again and report my findings. I am running the latest patch by the way.

I still cant believe the extreme level of detail on the narn ships. i love it as they are my favorite race. Only thing missing from this mod is Campaigns and voices for the units.

It's the Hyperion Criuiser. But when i play as EA everything was fine. i can build and fight with everything. One bug i did notice was an error in the animation on the ISN station. it appears to only be half complete. ir rotates about half way, then jumps back and does it all over again.

This is armada the way it was ment to be!!!!
Huge armadas of ships battling. weapons and ship strength in scale with tv shows portrails.
i'm a huge b5 fan and all i can say is wow.
This could have been a full price game or add on pack if it had single player missions.
Only a few minor bugs barely worth mensioning (yet i did), the mod runs great and looks real nice. The ships keep to the series designs and with loads of new ships all looking good.
Superb work dude and thanks. its great, i love it.
pls pls pls do some single player missions.

well it seems for games with very tidgy spec requirements have max spec requimrents aswell . botf is choppy on my pc after i upgraded from 350 p2 to a 700 AMD duron 3 years ago
its like trying to run game with req 800 on a 700mhz, system only these times the comptuers are too fast for the game and go glitchy (anyone ever gotten high frame rates on old fps games? i.e. its good to get 80 fps on a new graphics card in ef1 now, i think, but i spose for older fps's on the quake itdbe 150+ right? )

Borg vs. B5...lol...laughable

SW vs ST well...the jedi own any and all startrek characters and weapons, but the star trek ships would definatly own the starwars ones, we need to make a saber launcher and forget those proton torpedos wink

Personally i wish someone could make a battlestar galactica mod for this game, blowing toasters out of the sky in a viper would be great! Best i can do is script modding, models and graphic modding are beyond me stick out tongue

I have a problem. I am not sure if it is the EA or the Shadows, but when I launch a game with either of them in it, the game crashes. This is the reinstall I'm doing as I uninstalled A2 ages ago, but put it back just for this mod. I've upgraded my PC a bit since then. However, it used to run fine, and now I have this weird crash crap. Any suggestions?

This is the best mod out there, without question. Actually, i really don't like Babylon 5 the show- really at all, it is just not my thing, i couldn't follow it. But this mod is like playing a different game all together, like it isn't even armada, with such a completely different setup, textures, everything. It is really impressive and must have taken a lot of work, because it is so seamless. I have not had any problems playing it with crashes or anything. The only thing that would complete it is if there were missions for some of the races like in the original, but it is very impressive.

I've had this on my A2 twice now and I have collected my thoughts on this. It is a good mod because it adds something different as B5 has been "Cloaked" in terms of coverage on TV and A2 is a great way to bring it back. I have found that there is issues with the fleet sizes as the enemy chucks huge fleets at you with no let up for hours on end. I played as the EA allied with the Minbari vs Narn and Centauri Republic and in the first 20 minutes there were over 4000 ship losses from all sides(I personally took down 200 ships of capital size withe only 20 ship loss's)-I know quite a lot were fighters but the amount of ships present severely lagged my game-I believe that it would have been better to make the fleet actions a lot smaller to around the same size of the stock A2 races. On the Upside there are plenty of ships to choose from and most have jump drives which I found very usefull when I sent 10 Warlock Shadow enhanced battleships against the Centauri starbase which quickly ended their war against me. The weapons are fine but when they hit a vessel the damage explosion you see does intrerupt.

Everyone knows this mod crash's a lot, well I have sort of found a way to cut down the number of times it will crash on my computer by having the build time at 2.90(AKA Max) and by having standard tech. I think this cuts down the number of crash's because mine only crash's when I'm looking at a huge battle or sumthing like that. By doing this it also stops the game from lagging. I have only done this with 4 players(Me and 3 AI) so I am not sure if 8 players will not crash. In all I think that the problem lies within the the number of ships that each player has because if you think about it the computer will be controllig each ship, determining its actions and anything else to do with the ships,so therefore too many ships overloads the control. Note it had lagged and crashed on my A2 before when I had 200 of 9 of 9's and Portys Maquis raiders surrounding a wormhole when the borg came through.

#83 What is your system specs, most of time with me crashes happen because I got to much stuff happening ingame, and a system without a good video card (build in crap), runs out of memory, or cpu time. Like when I've played this mod over the years the Ai on an 8 player map will swam me with sometimes thousands of ships every minute or so (very good Ai).big grin

My system specs are 256mb ati radeon 9800 series, 2.6ghz athlon processor and one gygabite of ram.I think the AI only provides a challenge on hard, I mean it is insanly easy.Who do you think are the most dangerous race on hard. (I think the Minbari are LEEEEEEEEEEEEETHAL).

I have found a major flaws with the Centauri which are as follows

1:They have no troop ship
2:The Dargon X Class looses engines,sensors,weapons,armour and life support after one hit against very weak ships like the Halik Gunboat and Sho'Kar gunship but suffer's no Armour or hull damage(note I always have the Weapons yield on 0.30 for instant action
3:The standard carrier has the same button for fighters as the stock Cardie Brinok Drones

The 1st and 2nd flaws are really annoyingmadmadmad
The league also has a troop ship that has the marine transporter from the Iwo Jima class and can't launch troops since the transporter has been disabled. Will someone from the designers PLEASE address these issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there are going to be any more patches for this mod, I personally would like the above problems sorted andto have the different races re-balanced. The Rangers and the League have huge advantages over the other teams incliding the Shadows as the first one has 5 God ships from the first Ones while the League has the ulmighty Thirdspace Capital ship which has 12,000 hull armour and hull, 5000 crew, high yield beam weapons that can hit 4 different ships at the same time and has a telepathic control weapon that can be used to steal/sell/self-destruct ships and stations. I personally used one of these to wipe out 2 vorlons and 3 shadows. It is hardly fair as the EA's best ship has 2500 health (Shadow warlock) and the Narn only has the Bin'Tak of 1800 health, the G'Quan has less durability than the Omega.To make the League more balanced I would replace Thirdspace with the Dilgar as their ships were comparible to the Centauri's best and create a 9th race of Gods with Thirdspace and the First Ones for anyone brave enough to challenge them with the EA. When I use the jump drive to deploy a fleet of ships on a hit and run a lot of the time 1-8 ships fail to jump and then they can't jump in anywhere near the ships that did jump in. This is a major problem when jumping in and out of enemy territory as my fleet would be smaller and sum ship would not jump when I retreated. This mod is a great mod but does have flaws-if these were worked out it would probably be the best mod here in my view-All hail the conquering Dilgar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only bit of conquering you will be doing is trying to retake territory we grab from you and if you remember Jha'Dur is dead and the war with the ISA is over read B5tech, Centauri history and yes the Sekhmet is really powerful but the rest of the Dilgar ships are weak and that is why I will strike with huge amount of ships and DESTROY you, all unless it would in both of our best interests to sign a military treaty.RESVP

I think we need Breathing room and a piece of paper-anyway back to what I was on about before, I have seen that whoever made this loves Farscape as there are the Olympus class EAS John Crichton and the EAS Aeryn Sun. A funny problem occurs when your AI players have built 100's of fighters and then when the game pulsates and all the ships launch- the fighters explode, all of'em. I think this is because the game destroys any unmanned ships when it pulsates but since the fighters only use officers the game believes they are unmaned. This is very wierd as none of the Shadow, Vorlon, First One ships explode like this and they do not have crew. I wonder if anyone will do a map pack for this as I tryed to put on the Ultimate map pack(The EXE one) before and after putting B5 in but it did'nt work-just means that I'm stuck using Cataclysm.

Hi, love this mod, it is a wonderful creation for Armada 2. I had long desired to be the Shadows and launch their awsome technology into battle and this mod delivers on that. The only issue I have is that the Vorlon race when set as the A.I does nothing but manufacture 1 or 2 of Kosh's ships and a Lightning Fighter or 2. The A.I does not create any stations or anything beyond what I just described. Im not sure if there is a patch or resolution for this issue. If so would someone please write it in this comment section, I will check every couple of days for a response.

I also wonder is there any way to let the B5 races go to battle against the Star Trek races ? Or if thats not really possible if you can edit a race say the Shadows into the Star Trek Armada 2 game so you can use it in the Instant Action to fight against the Star Trek races. I really have to dis agree I play the vorlons on hard and and when ever I am centauri and shadows ( which is really often) when ever I scout there base there is a huge fleet of behemoths and star dreadnoughts and everything and loads of turrets.

I don't know if I just installed the game wrong, but I can't run the campaign mode. Every time I try and run anything from it the game crashes. I was able to run the skirmish mode so I was wondering if maybe there wasn't a campaign mode with the mod? Any advice would be great,

the answer is quite simple: there is no campaign mode just the skirmish mode
because the ships and much more had been changed so the game can not find the right files that would be needed for the campaing.

This is a great mod! However I have to point this out....The shadow race doesnt use crew, but when you try to build stuff it says it needs crew.

to answer the Cataclysm question-its a map thats provided by the mod

Even though the shadows don't have crew (apart from the shipyardI managed to capture 2 Nova class EA warships wanna know how?

Well you know the shadow ship that can momentaraly take control of a enemy ship, well I used it on a Thirdspace capital ship which while having its special weapons autonomy on maximum fired its controlling beam thing at the rest of its fleet which hit another Thirdspace capital. I then used it to hit 2 novas and send them using a jump to my base where I then used the Earlier shadow ship to control 1 nova to keep on firing its troop pod at the other-this eventually captured 1 nova which I just repaired to full crew and take the other.

Note shooting at them with the mindkillers crew killing gun was also a very effective way to capture the enemy ships,

The Thirdspace ship is a God ship for its ability to steal from your enemys

Ok, I know it's been a few years since this has been out, however, the given research facilities on some races such as the league and EA will not research more than one pod. How is this fixed?

I think a revision of the vorlons is in order.

1. The vorlon star dreadnought and cruiser are too power ful for there own good i suggest a 1/6 decrease in weapon strength while increasing there speed by about 2/5 as after all they are vorlons.

2. The Planet Killer's weapon should be corrected as it is too big and looks slightly dis-proportionate.

3. Vorlon turret strength is much too great should be decreased 1/4 to come in line with E.A, C.R, R.

4. Vorlon build time on shipyard and turrets should be decreased as creating a defensive line with low resources on is a very expensive business.

5. Vorlon lightning fighter should be made stronger about 5/16's while the ambassador class be made slower by about 2/7's but it's weapon strength increased by 3/7's.

6. If you are not using the patch 1.02 or the b5 tech i suggest the vorlon homeworld have 50,000 hit points and tose little mine things that Vorlon Prime launches should be taken out of the mod as they are quite annoying.

7. The vorlon builder should have an increase in speed and a low grade weapon on it as the vorlons most likely would have had weapons on their builders.

8. The amount lightning cannons on the Vorlon Starbase should be doubled while their cut by 3/5's and a multi target system for the vorlon starbase should be put into the mod.

I hope you find my review on the vorlons intersting and most impotantly AGREE'D with.

I completely forgot about this.

1. Well the standard of EA weapon strength in this mod is terribly low, I would say maybe even as low as the narns... So i think that some people should look into that ie. Making the X-Ray particle cannons doubled in strength and adding that famous Mk VI defence grid that we love.

2. The medusa class ship is certainly not worth it's weight in anything as can be beaten by a G'Quan class even though the medusa comes from an advanced factory, So I think that the medusa's power should be vastly increased in power and decreased in crew requirements.

3. Certainly the EA have the cream of fighter selection but again too weak as my Octurian on it's own took on 28 star furies and survived with medium damage to systrems. So the fighters should be updated to the EA standard seen in the latter half of the series, ie. Black Omega thunderbolts.

4. The O'Neil class station more commonly known as Babylon 4 should most Definately be re-textured as it looks like someone put big rectangular sheets of c**p next to each other when making this model as it is atrocious. Definately re-texturing is in order.

5. Finally the Jumpgates for ALL races need to have a certain range on then a jumpgating into the enemies base is just plain unfair.

None of the AI races will colonize planets. As a result, they never get past ships like the Hyperion and never become a challenge.

I can play against the Shadows or Vorlons because they don't use crew, but they are so much more powerful (rightly so) that it still is not the experience I am looking for.

The only alternative I have found is to play the game with infinite resources, but then it turns into a never ending furball. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this, or is there something I can download?

You can download the patches. They work for me. But i usually play with B5 extra tech so all races get free tech.

But to your last question the answer is no as all you can do is try to field more heavy ships and or sneak around to their base as the battle happens.

The Shadow's do have crew, look at their shipyards-they have 500 crew. Also by using the Shadow Destroyer u can get for e.g. 2 Nova class dreadnoughts into ur base- keep using the ship controlling thing on 1(jump it into your base but make sure all stations and ships on green alert so they don't destroy them) and fire breaching pods at the other until ur's then use that one to capture the other. U can also do this with the 3rd space capital ship.

This mod needs the Dilgar as a 9th race, cuz then this mod will have all the races relevant to B5. The Sekhmet Heavy Cruiser needs to show its presence!!!!!!

My Jump gates have never worked in weeks of me playing this mod. Basically what happens is I try to activate the gate, it registers the gate has been activated but no wormhole appears and there is no wormhole sign. Its like it activates for a split second then de-activates. I have had 2 Armada 2 disks (1 Pre-owned and 1 new) and it happens on both. The Borgs gates don't work either and have the same problem. I was able to get a gate to work once when playing this mod but have been unable to get a successful gate since. If anyone has any idea's I would be much obliged. Thanx

But the Dilgar would be cool, but as I have stated before the Centauri Republic is well capable of knocking them down.....

Build your gate well clear of a gravity well. What you are describing happens in stock A2 with the Borg Transwarp Gate.

The Centauri may be able too knock the Dilgar down but they still need to show up. There is a B5 mod called Ages of Expansion that focus's on the Dilgar war-so that should be fun!!!!

Yes I have been watching the mod for a year and it does look excellent. But you are right, they would need to get of of their conservative backsides and actually show up to the battle

Recently, I manually placed in the files for the B5 races to play concurrent with my ST races. However, after all was said and done, when I went to the Instant Action menu, it crashed.

What could be some of the possible sources

I seem to have been able to isolate the first problem, however, the Shadows and Vorlons still crash:

Shadows crash before an instant action game starts.

The Vorlons crash if I try to build something or occasionally select the starbase...

How can I aleviate this problem?

@ firthorfight06: I did the same thing you did, combined the B5 races into the main ST game, and had the same problems. I can actually include Vorlons and Shadows in a game as long as they are controlled by the AI and not a play. As an experiment I gave a Vorlon craft as a starting unit for the Federation, launched a game as the Federation and it crashed again. *However*, I made a duplicate of the Vorlon craft (vefighter), gave it a new name (copied the SOD as the new name) and gave that unit to the Federation, and no crash. My suspicion is that there's some dependency with the Vorlon/Shadows in one of the STA main files that was changed with the original B5 mod... haven't figured out which though.

After some further experimentation with other factions, I've come to the conclusion that Armada 2 has a hard limit to the number of playable races, and that limit gets exceeded with the Vorlons and Shadows if you combine all the B5 races with the ST ones. Oh well!

I should also mention that the original authors did a fantastic job with this B5 mod.

I downloaded the mod last night. Did a fresh install and patch of regular Armada II

I keep getting the following error

Can not locate Babylon 5 Armada II.msi

Seems the install kit is broke.

Any ideas.

sound link error and whats with capaign? i mean after the begining of this article you mention something that resembles SP campaign... i had hoped for some new SP missions.....

BTW all links to sounds are broke and forums and official site is also nowhere to be found..... (at least the links provided here at "read me preview"wink
