| Aquiescent Class - File Description |

Description:
The Aquiescent class starship is the kind of warship Starfleet needs beyond the present threats. A sort of Defiant-meets-Akira design, the Aquiescent has been one of my favourite ships for BC, for a long time. Now, Cabal (aka frostmourn) has brought us this beauty for Armada. Version 1.0 offers not only a new ship, but a wireframe, build buttons, new weapons, and new weapons textures!
One question I've always had stems from the class name. Aquiescent, assuming a spelling mistake on the word "acquiescent", can be defined as "giving in". This is one ship that promises to be anything-but.
Note that this is technically intended for A1, but there's no reason why it couldn't be used for A2. Also, it uses four 1MB textures, but there are 512KB textures included for those of you who prefer them.
Definitely download worthy.

frostmourn4 From: Joined: August 4th, 2008 Posts: 127 | You forgot to mention that when you fire pulses or torpedoes there is a flare from where they fire. |
CptBenSisko From: (Glendora, NJ) Joined: December 1st, 2004 Posts: 215 | How did you acomplish this? I know how to do flares for Phaser beams...but flares for pulses and torpedos is something ive been wanting as well..care to share? |
iOSYS From: Joined: November 15th, 2005 Posts: 39 | A torpedo with no speed and a short lifespan, I believe. My friend and I experimented with those a while back, good results if you can get them to time correctly. |

Nice work, especially on the flare effects, keep it up! |
frostmourn4 From: Joined: August 4th, 2008 Posts: 127 | Actually, I made a phaser that does no damage, has a blacked out texture, a short lifespan and can't hit the target. Then I gave it the same range, arc and fire rate as the weapon it was for. |
FallenGraces From: (Pennsylvania, USA) Joined: July 6th, 2008 Posts: 150 | go check AFC forums for this class their is an entire thread about this |
CanadianBorg From: Joined: June 15th, 2008 Posts: 473 | I think this one was made for BC first, wasn't it? It's actually something I intended to port for my A3 Leftovers series. Looks like frostmourn4 has beaten me to the punch on this one!

P.S. Resistance is futile, eh? |
wingsabre Joined: April 28th, 2003 Posts: 44 | looks good, but since it's a war ship, i'd make the port holes smaller. |
FallenGraces From: (Pennsylvania, USA) Joined: July 6th, 2008 Posts: 150 | after downloading this i have to say its amazing i tweaked it a little. (sorry but i thought that one of the newest ship of the lines needed a special...other than the tractor beam so i subbed the Corbimite Refractor and now its perfect. 10/10

frostmourn4 From: Joined: August 4th, 2008 Posts: 127 | I thought I put a Point Deffense Phaser on it. I will fix that as part of a 1.1 release. |
aodonnel From: (Chesterfield) Joined: July 12th, 2005 Posts: 12 | Hi nice to see the old 'rosa making a trip to armada! This is one of my fav ships too, in fact I'm currently building an illuminated 1:420 scale model of her for my desk at home. I noticed on the first comment that the class name was said to mean 'giving in' this is not strictly true. The class name aquiescent meansthe ability to 'conform to' willingly. The class name was derived from the class's ability to use mission specific saucer pods that are interchangable at space dock. Therfore giving the class acquiescence!!
