Description:

Ambassador class

This is my version of the Ambassador class. It comes in 2 versions.
The version as seen in an episode of TNG and the refitted version, as I think would look like during the Dominion war.
The difference is in the textures and in armament and shields strength.

Important Note:
Make a backup of your existing files, because files in this folder will overwrite stock files!

When prompted to overwrite, click 'yes'. Copy the odf shipfile into the odf ship folder of Armada II. When prompted to overwrite, click 'yes'. Copy the odf weaponfiles Open the weapon folder of Armada II --> open phasers folder and put the files there. Copy the shipimage --> Open the Bitmaps folder of Armada II --> open Admiralslog --> open ShipImages and put the image there. When prompted to overwrite, click 'yes'. Open the RGBfolder --> put the tga into the texture RGB folder of Armada II. When prompted to overwrite, click 'yes'. ( I include the MS3D files for those who are interested.) An empty folder is included. It has no function. ******************************************************** Open ARmada 2 ODF-folder --> open station folder --> open fyard2 add under the list of builditems buildItemXx = "fambassador" ( The X stands for the next number on the list) ********************************** ************************************ Open techtree file Open tech1 under federation ships add: fambassador.odf 0 // heavy cruiser (Ambassador class) *********************************** Open fulltech add under the federationships: fambassador.odf 0 ************************************ Open Sprites --> open gui_global find the lines: # Federation build buttons @reference=64 add below that list: b_fambassador gbfambassador 0 0 64 64 next: find the lines: # Federation wireframes @reference=128 (if not present, just add the reference) add below that list: fambassadorw1 wffambassador 0 0 128 128 ****************************************************************** That should do it.

Dude...I have been waiting years for a good original and refit Ambassador. I don't know why, but its my favorite ship. I think because of how little we know about it. I LOVE THIS

@ usndiesel, these are refit, both. The original has the saucer sitting a little forward, warp nacelles sit a little higher and there is no center piece to the deflector.
